50+ years of combined experience across elite basketball development, sports psychology, and mental performance training.
Chuck Brocious has been coaching basketball for 30+ years, starting in high school and building a track record of developing players who make their teams and become impact contributors. His coaching is rooted in basketball IQ: teaching players the why behind the game, not just the plays.
Chuck founded RLAS, now SD Strike, to bridge recreational basketball to high school competition. Every player he has developed has made their high school team, with multiple going on to become varsity leading scorers at schools across San Diego. He currently holds a Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School.
Dr. Lorri Sulpizio holds a PhD in Leadership and a Master's in Sports Psychology, and spent 9 years as a collegiate women's basketball head coach at San Diego Mesa College and Cuyamaca College. She has worked with athletes at every level, including Division I programs, and currently teaches at USD.
Her focus is the complete athlete: the mental toughness, emotional resilience, and physical conditioning that determine who performs when it matters most. She brings a research-backed mental performance program, basketball-specific fitness training, and the firsthand recruiting knowledge that only comes from having coached at the college level.
"Great athletes are built from the inside out. I equip players with the tools to manage pressure, overcome self-doubt, stay focused in big moments, and compete with courage — not just to win games, but to grow into strong, confident leaders on and off the court."
Chuck and Dr. Lorri are long-time family friends who have co-coached and competed against each other for years. As a team, they bring elite basketball development, mental performance training, fitness expertise, and college-prep knowledge to every player on the roster.
